Hampton is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Hampton is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Virginia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Great people to work with! Stopped by on my lunch break to order stone, and they had it delivered to my driveway in less than 2 hours! Great Service, Friendly People, and Super Fair Prices!

Unresponsive and unprofessional. I supported this business several times, spending over a collective $1000 on mulch/compost alone. I ordered my compost, and even left a note in the order to deliver as early as possible the following day!! Not only did I get zero communication that there would be a delay, but the order was never delivered at all! They leave early before advertised closing hours all the time, and when you call or leave a message....you never get a response. They also take their sweet time replying to the business email listed for contact. Ill be taking my business to the small nursery on Fox Hill Rd. They are way more professional and responsive.

Top tier compost and delivery. Have ordered a full delivery of mushroom compost in 2024 & 2026 and I cannot recommend them enough. Their delivery team is so kind, the mushroom compost is clean, super charged my backyard that was a clay wasteland of standing water into a growing haven. They make sure to bring it in fresh when the weather windows are finally open so you may have to wait a few weeks. Your patience will be rewarded. They take preorders and will work with your and the weather schedule for delivery. Tommy, Hunter and the crew there is everything great about a locally ran company. Do place an order for delivery. It’s worth it.

I recently purchased mulch from Mercury Mulch, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! The quality of the mulch was top-notch—rich in color, well-processed, and long-lasting. It made a huge difference in my landscaping. The customer service was also outstanding. The team was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped me choose the best option for my needs. Delivery was prompt, and the pricing was very reasonable for the quality provided. I highly recommend Mercury Mulch to anyone looking for premium mulch and excellent service. I will definitely be a returning customer!

I explained to Mercury mulch that I was leveling some spots, overseeding, and aerating our front lawn. They suggested their 50/50 mix which they said was sifted. Customer service and delivery was great. After spreading the soil, I noticed glass and some metal up to two inches in size. After aerating and watering I found more glass and rocks up to 2 inches in size. I read a response that their sifter is 3/4 inches. I sent Mercury mulch a message on their website and didn't get a response. If I had of read the reviews first I would have taken my money elsewhere but since I decided to support a local small business I got a lesser quality product. I take great pride in our landscaping, my time, and money. I live in Ashe Meadows in Hampton and I figured this place was a reputable small business. Our lawn is now not safe to walk on and I'm continuing to pick out glass and rocks. Email from the owner on 10/29/2024 >> " I believe I responded to your email in a timely fashion and offered a solution that would satisfy you. Because we weren't able to work this out amicably, and your choice to leave us a negative review. I'm no longer offering a refund on this material"
